We've known Frank Buchanan for at least 25 years. After springing a leak in our roof and asking around for recommendations, Frank was highly recommended to us by a friend who was a building contractor and had used him many times.
Our original roof,
mediterranean barrel tile, had a leak. Frank's estimate was thorough and even itemized the small items ,i.e. screws, etc., that would be needed. The other companies' estimates were a paltry comparison in detail.
Over the years, Frank fixed many leaks until he finally reminded us that he couldn't fix it anymore and we absolutely had to replace the roof. We did. When all was said and done, Julie advised us to call the insurance company to get the house reassessed. We did that too, and ended up saving thousands on our premiums. Our new roof is perfect, no more leaks. My only regret was not doing it 15 years earlier.
I should mention that on our recommendation many friends of ours have used him as well, some for multiple properties. One of our friends called him for a recurrent leak - no one else could pinpoint the source. Frank found the tennis ball that had wedged itself inside a drain pipe and was the cause of at least three floods entering the wall of the adjoining inside guest room.
